By Gentiles nourished and carest

By Gentiles nourish’d and carest
Thou shalt my faithful mercy prove,
Their kings shall cherish in their breast,
And love thee with the tenderest love;
Who gave thee favour in their sight,
Redeem’d with all my strength of grace,
Thou then shalt know with pure delight,
And me thine utmost Saviour praise.

Hymnal/Album: Originally titled “Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings, and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty one of Jacob.”—[Isa.] lx. 16.
