Jesus, refused by sinners

Verse 1
Jesus, refus’d by sinners,
Thou, after thy rejection,
Art stablished Thy church’s Head,
And Life and Resurrection;
Thyself Jehovah’s Angel,
And Witness of his favor,
Thy Father’s love Sent from above,
To be our Prince and Saviour.

Verse 2
By God’s right-hand exalted,
All power to Thee is given,
And every knee Bows down to Thee
In earth, and hell, and heaven!
Sole Ruler of thine Israel,
Almighty to deliver,
Set up thy throne, And reign alone
O’re all thy saints forever.
