Not by Angelic ministry

Verse 1
Not by Angelic ministry
Ye did the law of Christ embrace:
Glad tidings of a pardon free
Himself proclaim’d to all our race,
Sent from Jehovah’s throne above,
To teach the world his Father’s love.

Verse 2
But ye his offers have withstood,
Deaf to his word and Spirit’s cry;
Ye call yourselves the church of God,
The temple of the Lord Most-high,
His name and sacraments receive,
Yet Christians stil’d, as Heathens live.
