Pure, independent life divine

Pure, independent life divine
Thy Sire doth in himself possess:
Pure, independent life is thine,
Who judgest all in righteousness:
Thou dost or life, or death ordain,
Such is thy Father’s high decree,
And (for Thou art the Son of man)
Mankind receive their doom from Thee.
