Stablish’d in his state above

Verse 1
Stablish’d in his state above
Of glorious endless rest,
Christ shall call with yearning love
His family distrest;
All his needy people here
With those after the flesh allied
Shall before his face appear
And banquet at his side.

Verse 2
Taught by thy example, Lord,
We will the worst pursue,
Those who spurn’d the saving word
Invite with proffers new:
Deaf to all entreaties past
The most obdurate may come in,
Know their Friend, and yield at last
To be redeem’d from sin.
