Thee Thy first disciples saw

Thee thy first disciples saw,
When thou didst from earth withdraw,
Prostrate they receiv’d the sign,
Then the plenitude divine:
Still our faith with joyful eyes
Sees our parting Master rise,
Thus assur’d thy Spirit shall come,
Make us his eternal home.
