Yes, thou silent Man of woe

Yes, thou silent Man of woe,
Thy mind we comprehend,
Thankfully rejoice to know
Thy love’s mysterious end:
Death unmerited to shun,
Thyself if Thou hadst justified,
All mankind condemn’d, undone
The second death had died.
