Father, Hear the Blood of Jesus

Verse 1
Father, hear the blood of Jesus, (Heb. 9:12)
Speaking in thine ears above! (Gen. 4:10, Heb. 12:24)
From thy wrath and curse release us, (Gal. 3:13)
Manifest thy pard’ning love; (Rom. 5:9, Eph. 1:7)
O receive us to thy favour,
For his only sake receive, (Eph. 1:6)
Give us to our bleeding Saviour,
Let us by thy dying live. (Rom. 6:8, John 6:53, II Cor. 5:15)

Verse 2
“To thy pard’ning grace receive them”
Once he pray’d upon the tree,
Still his blood cries out “Forgive them, (Luke 23:34)
All their sins were purg’d by me.” (I Jn. 1:7, Rom. 3:25, Rom. 8:34, Heb. 1:3, Heb. 7:25)
Still our advocate in heaven (I Jn. 2:1-2)
Prays the prayer on earth begun,
“Father, shew their sins forgiven,
Father, glorify thy Son!” (John 17:1, John 17:4-5)
