God of Almighty Love

Verse 1
God of almighty love,
By whose sufficient grace (II Cor. 12:9)
I lift my heart to things above, (Col. 3:1-2, Lam. 3:41)
And humbly seek thy face; (I Chron. 16:11, II Chron. 7:14, Ps. 24:6, Ps. 27:8, Ps. 105:4, Hosea 5:15)
Thro’ Jesus Christ the just (Matt. 27:19, Acts 3:14, Acts 7:52, Acts 22:14, Rom. 3:26, I Pet. 3:18)
My faint desires receive,
And let me in thy goodness trust,
And to thy glory live. (I Cor. 10:31)

Verse 2
Whate’er I speak, or do, (Col. 3:17)
Thy glory be my aim: (I Cor. 10:31)
My offerings all are offer’d thro’
The ever-blessed name:
Jesus, my single eye
Is fixt on thee alone, (Heb. 12:2)
Thy name be prais’d on earth, on high,
Thy will by all be done. (Matt. 6:10, Luke 11:2)

Verse 3
Spirit of grace, inspire (Zech. 12:10, Heb. 10:29)
My consecrated heart,
Fill me with pure, celestial fire,
With all thou hast, or art:
My feeble mind transform,
And perfectly renew’d (Rom. 12:2, Eph. 4:23, II Cor. 5:17)
Into a saint exalt a worm, (Job 25:6)
A worm into a God!
