Lyrics

Verse 1
My Lord has garments so wondrous fine,
And myrrh their texture fills; (Ps. 45:8)
Its fragrance reached to this heart of mine
With joy my being thrills.

Chorus
Out of the ivory palaces, (Ps. 45:8)
Into a world of woe,
Only His great eternal love
Made my Savior go.

Verse 2
His life had also its sorrows sore, (Isa. 53:3)
For aloes had a part; (Ps. 45:8, John 19:39)
And when I think of the cross He bore, (John 19:17)
My eyes with teardrops start.

Verse 3
His garments too were in cassia dipped, (Ps. 45:8)
With healing in a touch; (Matt. 9:20, Matt. 14:36, Mark 5:28-29, Mark 6:56, Luke 8:43-44)
Each time my feet in some sin have slipped,
He took me from its clutch.

Verse 4
In garments glorious He will come, (Rev. 19:13, Isa. 63:1)
To open wide the door; (Rev. 3:20)
And I shall enter my heav’nly home,
To dwell forevermore. (Ps. 23:6, John 14:2-3, Rev. 21:3-4)
