Lyrics

Verse 1
Like a river glorious, is God’s perfect peace, (Isa. 26:3, Isa. 48:18, Isa. 66:12)
Over all victorious, in its bright increase;
Perfect, yet it floweth, fuller every day,
Perfect, yet it groweth, deeper all the way.

Chorus
Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest (Isa. 26:3)
Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest. (Isa. 26:3, Matt. 11:28-29)

Verse 2
Hidden in the hollow of His blessèd hand, (Isa. 49:2, Isa. 51:16, John 10:28-29)
Never foe can follow, never traitor stand;
Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care,
Not a blast of hurry touch the spirit there.

Verse 3
Every joy or trial falleth from above, (James 1:17)
Traced upon our dial by the Sun of Love;
We may trust Him fully all for us to do.
They who trust Him wholly find Him wholly true. (Prov. 3:5-6, Ps. 9:10)
