Lyrics

Verse 1
O Love that wilt not let me go, (Jer. 31:3, Rom. 8:38-39)
I rest my weary soul in thee; (Matt. 11:29)
I give thee back the life I owe, (Rom. 12:1)
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

Verse 2
O light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be. (Prov. 4:18)

Verse 3
O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be. (Ps. 30:5)

Verse 4
O Cross that liftest up my head, (Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34, Mark 10:21, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:27, Ps. 3:3)
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead, (Phil. 3:7-8)
And from the ground there blossoms red (John 12:24-25)
Life that shall endless be.
