Praise the Lord, who reigns above, (Ps. 150:1, Ps. 103:19)
And keeps his court below,
Praise the holy God of love, (I Jn. 4:8, I Jn. 4:16)
And all his greatness shew; (Ps. 150:2)
Praise him for his noble deeds, (Ps. 150:2)
Praise him for his matchless power: (Ps. 150:2)
Him, from whom all good proceeds (James 1:17)
Let earth and heaven adore.

Verse 2
Publish, spread to all around
The great Jehovah’s name, (Deut. 32:3)
Let the trumpet’s martial sound (Ps. 150:3, Ps. 98:6)
The Lord of hosts proclaim: (Is. 47:4)
Praise him, in the sacred dance, (Ps. 150:4, Ps. 149:3)
Harmony’s full concert raise,
Let the virgin-choir advance,
And move but to his praise.

Verse 3
Celebrate th’ eternal God
With harp and psaltery, (Ps. 150:3, Ps. 33:2-3)
Timbrels soft, and cymbals loud (Ps. 150:4-5)
In his high praise agree:
Praise him every tuneful string, (Ps. 150:4)
All the reach of heavenly art,
All the powers[1] of music bring,
The music of the heart. (Eph. 5:19)

Verse 4
Him, in whom they move, and live, (Acts 17:28)
Let every creature sing, (Ps. 148:7-13, Rev. 5:13)
Glory to their Maker give,
And homage to their King:
Hallow’d be his name beneath, (Matt. 6:9, Luke 11:2)
As in heaven on earth ador’d:
