Would the great God His rebels spare

Would the great God his rebels spare,
According to a creature’s word?
He heard his Son in Moses’ prayer:
And still he hears our pleading Lord:
The prayer of but one righteous man,
If Jesus in his servant breathe,
Can the Almighty’s wrath restrain,
And millions save from endless death.
