Expecting now to be restored

Verse 1
Expecting now to be restor’d,
And led by our redeeming Lord,
We thro’ the pathless desart go,
Refresh’d, as in the ancient days,
With living streams of gospel-grace
Which from the Rock of Ages flow.

Verse 2
We seek the New Jerusalem,
’Till marching on in Jesu’s name
The New Jerusalem we meet;
That mother of us all descends,
And shouting with our heavenly friends
We find in Christ our joy compleat.
