Lord, while at Thy command

Verse 1
Lord, while at thy command
Thy servants prophesy, (Ezek. 37:4, Ezek. 37:7)
O let it spread thro’ every land,
The sound of Jesus nigh!
The dead professors shake,
Before thy life they breathe, (Ezek. 37:9)
Dispose their senseless souls to wake
Out of the sleep of death: (Rom. 13:11, Eph. 5:14)

Verse 2
Let every answering bone
By secret instinct move,
With sinews cloath’d, the flesh put on,
And then the skin above! (Ezek. 37:7-8)
The form of godliness, (II Tim. 3:5)
And then the virtue give,
Inspire them with thy Spirit of grace,
And bid the body live. (Ezek. 37:10, John 6:63, Rom. 8:11)
