Lord over all, Thy Spirit pour

Verse 1
Lord over all, thy Spirit pour, (Ezek. 39:29)
In that full everlasting shower,
On every child of Adam’s race! (Joel 2:28)
Then all our agonies are o’er,
And never wilt thou chide us more,
Or from thy church conceal thy face: (Ezek. 39:29, Isa. 54:8)

Verse 2
Then wilt thou on thy throne appear,
Triumphant with thine ancients here,
While various crowns thy brow adorn: (Rev. 19:12)
Then shall the saints thy glory see,
’Till time commence eternity, (Rev. 10:6)
And all with thee to heaven return. (I Thess. 4:17, John 14:3)
