By the needy widow taught

By the needy widow taught
Blush, ye rich, who little give;
Poorest you who offer nought
Learn the poorest to relieve:
God declares the Giver blest;
Trust his providential word,
Cast your mite into the chest,
Cast yourselves upon the Lord.
