We who Jesus’ Spirit know

We who Jesus’ Spirit know,
Meekly share his grief and pain,
Cannot bitter anger show,
Cannot of our foes complain,
Tho’ they seek to shed our blood,
Patient we the wrong abide,
Followers of a martyr’d God,
Him who for his murtherers died.
