Adjudged to die He is by all

Verse 1
Adjudg’d to die He is by all
A criminal unfit to live;
Our sins transfer’d for justice call,
And meek the sentence to receive
The patient Lamb makes no reply,
For all his meaning is To die.

Verse 2
Guilty of death Thou art indeed
Who dost the general guilt assume,
Appearing in the sinner’s stead,
Our merits justify thy doom:
And freely mov’d by love alone
Thou mak’st our sins and death thine own.
