Again I come my friends to meet

Verse 1
Again I come my friends to meet
Around the throne of grace,
I come to hold communion sweet
With all the faithful race.

Verse 2
Swift on the wings of love and prayer
To Jesus saints I fly,
And on their GOD I cast my care,
And on their Rock rely.

Verse 3
See, O thou Rock of Israel, see
The Souls that ask thy aid,
And still extend to them, to me,
Thy love’s almighty shade.

Verse 4
Us in thy clefts vouchsafe to hide
From earth and hell secure,
Preserve us in thy wounded side,
Till pure as GOD is pure.
