As children we continue long

As children we continue long,
And feebly o’er the desart rove,
Who doubt thy power to make us strong,
Thy will to perfect us in love:
But if I can confide in thee,
Thou wilt thine hallowing grace exert,
Settle, confirm, and stablish me,
And fix thy nature in my heart.

Hymnal/Album: Originally titled “If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.”—[Isa.] vii. 9.
