By faith we walk in Thee

Verse 1
By faith we walk in Thee
The Way: the Truth of grace
And full felicity
By stedfast hope embrace;
And Thee th’ eternal Life approve,
The only Object of our love.

Verse 2
We out of Thee the Way
No end of wandring find:
Without the Truth, we stray,
In sin and error blind:
Without the Life as dead appear,
And hell must be our sepulchre.
