Come, O Thou Breath divine

Verse 1
Come, O thou breath divine, (John 20:22)
From every quarter blow, (Ezek. 37:9)
And whom thou didst together join,
On them thine influence shew;
Thy wonder-working power (Ps. 40:5, Ps. 78:4, Ps. 88:10, Ps. 107:8, Ps. 107:15, Ps. 107:21, Ps. 107:31, Ps. 111:4, Ps. 119:27, Jer. 21:2, Dan. 6:27, Acts 2:11)
Be here again display’d,
And now to sudden life restore
The long-forgotten dead. (Ezek. 37:9)

Verse 2
Inspir’d at God’s command
By thee, the Spirit of grace, (Zech. 12:10, Heb. 10:29)
Let the whole house of Israel stand (Ezek. 37:10-11, Acts 2:2)
And their restorer praise,
Host of the living God
Throughout the earth declare (Acts 1:8, Acts 13:47, Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 16:15)
The heavenly gift on all bestow’d,
Th’ indwelling Comforter. (John 14:16-17, Acts 2:4, I Cor. 8:9)
