Dost Thou not, Lord, with pity see, my helplessness and misery

Dost thou not, Lord, with pity see
My helplesness and misery,
Dost thou not hear thy servant groan,
And know, that all my power is gone?
Returning now in tenderest love,
Thy judgments with their cause remove,
Take my oppressive sin away,
And give me back an heart to pray.
