Fain would I in my earliest days

Fain would I in my earliest days
Be mindful of my God,
My God who made me by his grace,
And bought me with his blood:
That young I may observe thy word,
And not in age depart,
Come, O my dear redeeming Lord,
And dwell within my heart.
