Happy His faithful worshippers

Verse 1
Happy his faithful worshippers,
The women with lamenting tears,
And sympathizing cries
Who follow that incarnate God,
That Isaac loaded with the wood
Of his own sacrifice!

Verse 2
They see their meek expiring Lord,
His kindest, last, instructive word
Into their hearts receive;
They stand to catch his parting breath,
And hear the Saviour gasp in death
Father, the world forgive!
