See the strength that is in man!

See the strength that is in man!
Peter by a word o’rethrown
Checks our self-presumption vain,
Makes our utter weakness known:
Thus we feel our helplesness,
Tremble at temptation nigh,
Own our constant need of grace,
From ourselves to Jesus fly.
