Surely for Christ the isles shall wait

Surely for Christ the isles shall wait,
And ships to bring thy sons from far:
They come from their dispers’d estate,
With all they have, and all they are:
Jesus, thy Lord, the Holy One
Of Israel for their God they claim,
Who makes in thee his nature known,
His image, and his glorious name.

Hymnal/Album: Originally titled “Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships, &c.”—[Isa.] lx. 9.
