The holy God Himself they blame

The holy God himself they blame,
Th’ essential Righteousness,
And shall we fondly hope, or aim
A froward world to please?
No, Lord, we only wish to live
Thy life of purity,
And then thy treatment to receive,
And suffer it like Thee.
