Though every sinful act increase

Tho’ every sinful act increase
Our strong propensity to sin,
Into our heart it need not press,
We need not let the evil in:
Tho’ sin lie knocking at the door,
Admittance we may still refuse,
For Jesus doth to all restore
The power or life or death to chuse.
