Though his glorified estate

Tho’ his glorified estate
Swallows up the Man of woe,
Can our Lord so soon forget
All his suffering days below?
No; his changeless love withstands,
Love retains the bleeding scars,
Still he bears us on his hands,
Graven on his heart he bears!
