To make Thy truth and goodness known

Verse 1
To make thy truth and goodness known,
Thou wilt, for thine own sake alone,
Forgive, and seal my peace,
Thou wilt for thine own sake restore
The first domain, th’ unsinning power,
The finish’d holiness.

Verse 2
Come then, that thy great name may be
No longer vilified for me,
Mine evil heart remove:
The honour of thy name retrieve,
And shew the world how Christians live,
When perfected in love.
