We would thine aged followers give

We would thine aged followers give
The honour to a parent due,
We would the young with love receive
Purer than nature ever knew:
Saviour, bestow th’ entend’ring grace,
Us in a new relation join,
So shall we all thy saints embrace,
And love them with a love like thine.
