Who would not his advice pursue

Verse 1
Who would not his advice pursue
He ceases not to give them new
He courts till he prevails:
Love is the same, whoe’er oppose,
Nor haughtiness nor anger knows,
And never, never fails.

Verse 2
Their fainting souls with hope he feeds,
And then to their frail bodies needs
His friendly care extends:
A pastor will for both provide
Till Christ rebukes the wind and tide,
And full deliverance sends.
