The Ten Commandments
How blest is he who ne’er consents to walk
With ever restless, and ungovern’d Rage
How many, Lord, there be
Have mercy, Lord, on me
Lord, with thy wonted mercy hear
Thy dreadful Anger, LORD, restrain
In thee, O LORD, my Hope I place
O LORD our GOD! how great art thou!
Why dost thou now withdraw thy Presence, LORD!
Since in the LORD my Hope secure is plac’d
How long shall I repine
Sure wicked Fools, devoid of Shame
Lord, who shall to thy courts repair
O GOD, preserve me; I on thee depend
To my just Plea and sad Complaint
The Heav’ns declare thy Glory, LORD
The King, O LORD! with Songs of Praise
My GOD! my GOD! why leav’st thou me
The LORD himself doth condescend
The Fullness which the World affords
To GOD I lift my Heart and Voice
Judge thou my Cause, O GOD!
Whom should I fear, since GOD to me
O LORD, the Rock of my Defence
With Heart and Voice in one Accord
Blest is the Man, to whom the GOD of Heaven
Let all the Just with one Consent
Through all the Scenes of Life
Against all those that strive with me
In wait, the watchful sinner lies
Though wicked Men grow rich or great
Resolv’d to watch o’er all my Ways
I waited meekly for the Lord
He’s bless’d whose tender Care
Just Judge of Heav’n, against my Foes
Our Fathers, LORD, repeatedly
On us this heap of woes is fall’n
My chearful Mind a good Design shall frame
God is our Refuge in Distress
Ye People, clap your Hands
The LORD, the only GOD is great
With joint Consent let all the World attend
In Vain, O Man of lawless Pow’r
The wicked Fools must sure suppose
Lord save me, for thy glorious Name
Destroy, O Lord, their ill designs
Give Ear, thou Judge of all the Earth
Thy Mercy, LORD, to me extend
Thy wonted Mercy, LORD, to me extend!
LORD, hear my Cry, regard my Pray’r
My Soul for Help on GOD relies
To thee, O GOD, we render Praise
Let all the Lands, JEHOVAH blessing
Save me, O GOD, from Floods that roll
In thee I put my steadfast trust
Thy righteous acts, and saving health
How long shall thy fierce Anger burn
To God my loud Complaints I made
Hear, O my People, to my Law
Yet still they sin’d nor would afford
The heathen hosts, O God
To GOD, our never failing Strength
Whilst I my solemn will declare
God in the great Assembly sits
Hold not thy Peace O LORD, our GOD!
LORD, thou hast granted to thy Land
To my Complaint thine Ear incline
Teach me, O Lord, thy sacred way
To thee, my GOD and Saviour, I
From distant Times thou hast remained
Who hath his dwelling made, beneath th’ Almighty’s Shade
The Lord himself is King
With new made Songs, let GOD be praised
Thy Mercies, LORD, shall be my Theme
When I pour out my Soul in Pray’r
O render Thanks and bless the LORD
To Egypt then, invited guests
To GOD your grateful Voices raise
O GOD, my Heart is fully bent
Bless’d is he, who fears the LORD
Oh, praise the LORD, ye Nations round
To GOD be endless Praise addressed
O ’twas a joyful Sound to hear
Had not the Lord, may Israel say
Who place on Sion’s GOD their Trust
When Sion’s God her mournful Sons
We build with fruitless Toil and Cost
From my Youth up, may Israel say
From lowest Depths of Woe
O LORD, I am not proud of Heart
Let David, LORD, for evermore
How vast must their Advantage be
Praise the LORD with one Consent
O give Thanks unto the LORD
With my whole Heart, my GOD and King
Preserve me, LORD from crafty Foes
To thee, O LORD, my Cries ascend
LORD, hear my Pray’r, and to my Cry
My Soul her Song shall raise
Oh, sing unto the LORD
Praise God in that bless’d Place
The Song of the Virgin Mary
